About Me

A former elementary and high school teacher and teacher-librarian, I have been involved in education most of my life. My background includes an M.A. in English and an M.Ed. in Secondary English. I specialize in indexes for scholarly works in the humanities and social sciences.

Winner of the 2017 Ewart-Daveluy Award for Excellence in Indexing

The award from the Indexing Society of Canada honours my index for One Child Reading: My Auto-Bibliography by Margaret Mackey, published by the University of Alberta Press in 2017. Mackey examines her personal history of reading and literacy development by revisiting texts she read, viewed, listened to and wrote as she grew up in the 1950s and 1960s in Newfoundland.

The index is available here, courtesy of the University of Alberta Press.
